Archaeologist: Faris Saadeh

Faris Saadeh joined the American Center of Research in April 2023. He serves as Archaeologist for ACOR.

Since he joined Faris served as data-entry specialist for the National Inventory Project. In January 2025 he became the Assistant Project Director for the National Inventory Project. In March 2025, he became the Archaeologist for ACOR.

Faris’s fascination with ruins of humans, history, and philosophy led him to pursue a master’s degree in archaeology from the University of Jordan. His thesis shed new light on the history of archaeological practice throughout the region. During his academic career as an archaeologist, Faris has been involved in several research projects that have taken him across Jordan. Aside from his academic pursuits, he is also a passionate advocate for preserving cultural heritage and raising awareness of the importance of protecting archaeological sites. He has volunteered with several universities and organizations that work toward this cause and has given talks and presentations at conferences and other events.
