Room Rates

The American Center’s Residence Rates as of February 1st, 2022

The American Center’s residence is a home away from home for hundreds of travelers to Jordan every year. Our extensive renovations in 2020-2022 have updated virtually every aspects of the Center, its rooms, grounds, and your experience. We have 17 rooms and four apartments.

All rooms have air conditioning, high speed WiFi access, new bedding and linens, renovated bathrooms, include half-board (breakfast and lunch), access to a shared residents’ only kitchen and lounge (with Netflix), access to a small onsite gym (opens ca. March 15th, 2022), and more.

For guests who remain at the Center for long visits, we offer a reduced nightly rate after the thirtieth night (i.e., nights 1-30 at regular price, 31 and onward at lower rate).

Regular Rate

Rate is for one person per room, per night in US Dollars.

One bedroom apartment: US $125.00 per night, for one person; $30 additional supplement per person, per night.

Two bedroom apartment: US $200.00 per night, including up to two people; $30 additional per person, per night.

About the Residence

Rooms are only shared by request of the person making the reservation.

Check out time is 10:00 AM unless otherwise agreed with the Administrator; most of the time this is flexible.

Office is closed on Fridays, Saturdays, holidays, and occasional other days as announced.

Sunday through Thursday regular business hours are 8:30 AM to 4:00PM.

ACOR is not responsible for money or other valuables left in rooms.


Covid-19 Procedures – In effect until otherwise noted.

*UPDATE Effective April 2022* Only fully vaccinated individuals (as defined by the CDC) are allowed in the Center’s business and residential spaces, which includes fellows, residents, staff, visitors, and guests. It is our duty to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone at the center, and this is a proactive step we are now taking accordingly. To this end, we would like to draw your kind attention to the updated recommendations for fully vaccinated people given the current variants.

All guests must notify management immediately on signs or symptoms of covid-19. Should a guest develop Covid-19 symptoms they must test immediately at their own expense. Proof of a negative test will be required to continue residence at ACOR. A positive test may require a quarantine per Jordanian law. ACOR is not equipped to facilitate quarantines, so the guest must quarantine outside of ACOR, at their own expense, for the required duration, and until a final PCR test results in a negative for Covid-19.
