A strong background and research interest in Nabataean archaeology or the Classical Near East should be demonstrated. With the support of ACOR staff, the Fellow is expected to develop and contribute to the ACOR’s future publication of the Temple of the Winged Lions, based on prior assessments of the archive and related objects from the Temple of the Winged Lions (American Expedition to Petra and TWLCRM Initiative) held at ACOR. The Fellow is expected to assist in the requesting of contributions from project participants and co-authors to the final volume, and to contribute or co-author two selected chapters for the final publication.
The fellowship has a value of more than $50,000, including: monthly stipend of $2,500, accommodation at ACOR in Amman (with breakfasts and lunches; half board), and a return flight to North America/Europe.
Target start date for the 10-month fellowship is August/September/early October 2020.
