Elias Adamson-Endres is a recent graduate from the Honors College at SUNY Brockport with a degree in geology. Elias’s focus throughout his degree has been on understanding how landscapes change over time, especially through geomorphic processes such as erosion, sediment transport, and environmental change. His areas of interest include geomorphology, geologic hazards, paleoclimate, and the ways Earth science can be applied to archaeological landscapes. Throughout his degree, Elias gained experience through laboratory research analyzing sediment samples from Greenland, a geological field camp in Montana, and debris-transport research in Alaska. Elias’s future academic aspiration is to pursue graduate study in geomorphology, with a focus on landscape change, geologic hazards, and environmental processes. He is excited to participate in fieldwork in Jordan with Dr. Jennifer Ramsey from SUNY Brockport and contribute a geomorphological perspective to the study of Petra’s surrounding landscape.
