Archaeology in Jordan 4 Published

Volume 4 of our biennial open-access journal Archaeology in Jordan is now available.

From the introduction:

The editors of Archaeology in Jordan 4 are pleased to present this dynamic collection of recent project summaries, which cover excavation and related projects during the period of January 2022 through December 2023. Together these reports reveal a vibrant and expansive range of work in a broad spectrum of archaeological sites in Jordan. Researchers and technical experts continue to collaborate to protect and conserve these sites, to learn from them, and to make that knowledge available and accessible to all stakeholders, including local residents, tourists, and the professional research community. The impression — accurate, no doubt — the contents of this volume convey is that of a continuous hum of activity, with particular credit to daily work by Jordan’s Department of Antiquities (DoA), and of the many meticulous steps that together contribute to improvements in the cultural heritage landscape and the creation of a stronger knowledge base.
