Announcing Fellowship Awards 2021–2022

31 May 2021

From animals at Petra to renewable energy, ancient Thamudic inscriptions to library and information science—we cannot wait to learn about these and other subjects from our 2021–2022 fellowship and scholarship awardees!

Hailing from scholarly backgrounds in epigraphy, sociology, geology, history, religious studies, anthropology, archaeology, and more, our twenty awardees in the 2021–2022 cohort were notified of their fellowships / scholarships this spring following robust deliberations by ACOR’s fellowship committee (including many on our board of trustees). We express profound gratitude to all applicants and the faculty involved in this process, as well as to ACOR donors, whose support enables us to continue offering this competitive scholarly funding year after year.

Our researchers’ foci are diverse, but, ultimately, each of their projects is intimately connected to ACOR’s overarching mission: advancing knowledge of Jordan past and present.

We hope you will enjoy the opportunity to read about their projects on our website, and please help us in congratulating our colleagues on this noteworthy achievement!
