On Tuesday, October 7 from 10am–2pm, ACOR will be co-hosting a Wikipedia “Edit-a-thon” in partnership with Wikimedia Levant. Participants will first be trained in how to write and edit Wikipedia articles; then, using images specially donated by Bashar Tabbah and resources from the ACOR Library and USAID-SCHEP project, participants will publish Wikipedia articles on Jordanian heritage and women archaeologists in both English and Arabic. Event details and updates can be found on the ACOR Facebook page. The more, the merrier — we hope to see you there!
Drinks and snacks will be provided. Though not a requirement, we strongly encourage participants to bring their own laptop computers.
