Archaeology and History
David Minielly is currently in the final stage of finishing his undergraduate degree in history and archaeology at Wilfrid Laurier University. He has taken a number of courses relating to archaeology in the Near East and has been interested by the wide variety of cultures, religions, and people who have inhabited the region over time.
Due to the COVID pandemic, the 2023 excavations at Khirbet al-Mukhayyat in Jordan will be his first time working within the Near East. Participation on the project represents an important step in moving on to further work within graduate studies and solidifying his interest in the Near East. The Khirbet al-Mukhayyat project, directed by Dr. Debra Foran, represents an important opportunity for David and his educational goals relating to Jordan and the Near East.
