Archaeology and Heritage Studies
Nina Rozic is an undergraduate student at Wilfrid Laurier University, finishing up her fourth year and graduating with a major in archaeology and heritage studies and a minor in global studies. She completed a fieldwork credit last summer working on the Khirbet al-Mukhayyat project run by Dr. Debra Foran and enjoyed the country and the work. She is excited to be one of two students returning to work for a study season in May 2024. Nina is interested in pottery and artifact care and curation and enjoys learning about Near Eastern and Mesoamerican archaeology. In 2024 Nina is also participating in a work-study program in collections management, working with cataloging and re-boxing legacy collections at her university. She is also working on completing an individualized directed study on Mamluk pottery from Trans-central Jordan under Dr. Debra Foran, using survey pottery from previous seasons. Beyond archaeology, Nina loves Star Wars, Zelda, and her great Pyrenees dog. In her free time, she enjoys playing video games and building Lego sets. Nina is very excited to complete this opportunity this year and hopes to gain more valuable knowledge for the future.
