Eliza Marks is a doctoral candidate in cultural anthropology at the Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY). Her doctoral research explores the spaces and sociality formed around synthesized sound in Amman, Jordan, and investigates what these might reveal about the city’s rhythms, textures, and position within regional and transnational networks. Before beginning her graduate studies, Eliza taught at King’s Academy in Jordan.
