Arzaq Y. Abu Eid is the ACOR Digital Archive Project technical archivist. Arzaq holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Jordan and is currently working on her master’s in social anthropology at Yarmouk University. Over the past four years, she has participated in various activities and research projects studying refugees, poverty, feminism, oral history, and cultural heritage in Jordan; her recent work experience was as the MaDiH (مديح) Project research assistant based at the British Institute in Amman, which is part of the Council for British Research in the Levant (CBRL). In February 2021, Arzaq joined ACOR to work closely with other members of the Digital Archive Project team to index, digitize, and care for the archival collections. During the course of the project, she will contribute to an archival workshop, prepare a photo essay about the collections, develop related social media content, and provide Arabic translations of archival descriptions for file metadata.
